After 18 (complete) seasons and over 10 years, the Infantry GravBall League has come to an end due to declining interest and attendance. All further matches schedule for Season 19 are canceled.

Get ready to play next week. Notify me of any errors. Make your predictions. So forth.

Regular season play will begin in two weeks on October 2nd. The schedule should be posted in the next few days.

Preseason play will begin next Sunday and last for 3 weeks. All teams are expected to play at least 2 matches during that time period.

Anyone interested in joining the ref staff for season 19 should send me a PM.

Polls are up for S18 Awards Voting. Polls will close on September 7th.

The Official Free Agents thread is up and stickied in Public Forums, so go check it out and respond to it. We need to know the participation this season to judge how many squads and player caps to go with. Even if you're on a squad that's returning, please comment in my thread.

There have been some questions about play this week. We will be playing games as usual tonight.

Playoffs will begin next week with matches between the 3rd/6th teams and the 4th/5th teams. Hooligans and Broskis have already secured the top 2 positions and will receive byes into the next round. All matches will be best of 5 except for the final which will be best of 7. All forfeits will be final, there will be no rescheduling after Thursday night of the preceding week.

Due to a number of people having difficulties logging in to Infantry tonight, week 10 will be played next weekend.

ANIMALS and NASTY have been removed from this season for poor attendance. Players from these squads are eligible to join other teams and play without any activation period.

Season 18 will continue with the remaining 6 squads. Each squad will play each other once over the next 5 weeks and the top 4 squads from that period will advance to the playoffs. With the addition of players from the dissolved squads all games are expected to be played at 5v5 minimum. Showing less than 5 players will be considered a forfeit for the rest of the season.

Bok'choy will be hosting scrims at 8est tonight.

Week 5 schedule:

7pm EDT - ANIMALS v Hooligans
7pm EDT - Broskis v Godsend
8:30pm EDT - ANIMALS v Nasty
8:30pm EDT - Mello v Elite Gravers
10pm EDT - Malice v Mello

This is a last chance to play previously forfeited matches. Any teams who do not show adequate numbers on Sunday will forfeit, there will be no rescheduling. We will also be using this week to gauge the activity of the league members and see if we can continue.

Due to some real life changes i am stepping down as Chairman and giving it to Quizno. I will continue to help ref and continue to try and get our updates in. So congrats to Quizno!


Updates - I have been on BloodySmile day and night about getting these done. He continues to tell me he sends them in each time to Bill but for some reason they have not been done yet. ;( But i will continue to bug him until they get done :).

Please check the updated schedule. This should include all games that needed to be rescheduled from the last few weeks.

Due to the short notice and anticipated poor showings league play will not resume until next weekend, May 22nd.

If you haven't planned on it already, as a result of the continued server issue, week 4 of season 18 will be delayed. League play will resume the first Sunday after the servers are restored.

Bok would like to thank everyone who participated and has given feedback over the weekend in development of a new Ladder system. He is grateful for everyone's patience and appreciates the turn out.

Great first few weeks of Gravball guys! Gravball has been more populated over the past few weeks then it has been in 4-5 seasons if not more! We are getting a lot of new people and a lot of old faces coming back!

As you guys probably already know League will not happen this Sunday because of the servers being in SAM. The season will start Next Sunday 4-10-11.

Seeing that all the squads are pretty much full and we still have some players interested in playing, the new Active roster limit is 12.

All the Captains have been added to the staff forum to schedule preseason matches. If you don't see the Staff Forum under edit profile log out and back in and it should be there then
