"Infantry Evolved seems like a fitting title as the third installment in our news series with Continuity and Reloaded, heh. I'd like to announce news that players have been keenly awaiting. Satori and I have been pushing for this for quite some time and we're now expecting the implementation of the patch very soon. It'll be great to have games characterized by equal competition again and no hacker crashes. I'd like to thank Jeff Petersen for taking time out of his schedule to work on this patch. I'm not sure if you'll see him in the game at all, but if you do, please extend to him the appreciation that he deserves. Thanks to the community for being patient."

News: Schedule changes (week 4)

Some teams have switched times, and other matches have been rescheduled for the following weeks.

This week's games are as follows:

7:00 Legendary vs Ubernauts
7:00 D-Generation X vs Dads
8:30 Godsend vs Legendary
10:00 etc vs Samurai Pizza Cats

EDIT** - Rare's matches were moved to the weeks that correspond w/ the date they are going to be played. The times were incorrect also, but have now been fixed.

Forum: Week 4 Power Rankings

Peregrin Took: 1) [b]Hooligans[/b] - 5-0 - [i]Did Not Play[/i] ([i]vs Dads[/i])

Uneventful week for Hooligans since they did not play. Their week 4 match with Rare was postponed till week 6.

2) [b]Etc[/b] - 5-1 - [i]Win vs Samurai Pizza Cats[/i] ([i]vs Rare[/i])

Strong 3 game win this week against SPC that will lockup for them a spot in the upper division and in the playoffs. Now for the good, bad and ugly. The good, Kollision accounted for 4 of etc's 6 goals this week once again confirming that they atleast for the moment have found their savior in the offensive end. The bad being that for as many goals as Kollision made, he missed. His shot is still not on a level that would you expect for a top end goal scorer. The ugly being that Kollision passed up quite a few opportunities to pass the ball away for significantly better scoring chances but instead choose to hog and take the shot. Going to spare the Zookini references for now since he's still adjusting to his new role. All in all, it was a good week for etc but I will question whether Kollision is the answer, eleven goals and no assists doesn't exactly speak of team player.

3) [b]Legendary[/b] - 3-2 - [i]Win vs Ubernauts, Win vs Godsend[/i] ([i]vs Samurai Pizza Cats[/i])

Win against Ubernauts was less than impressive. My pre-season prediction of Ubernauts never winning a game this season was false thanks to the Mangini connection. Too much fucking around in the goal and the next thing you know Ubernauts is up 1-0 with no time left on the clock. Deserved that benching you guys got in Game 3. Legendary's starting lineup rolled very handly and ended up devastating a disheartened Godsend roster in Game 2 of their match. Rightfully they should have lost Game 1 but they saw their opportunity and certainly capitalized on it. Big matchup this week against SPC, a win here and they are in the upper division and in the playoffs for sure. So much for the Final Project references.

4) [b]Dads[/b] - 3-1 - [i]Win vs Degeneration X[/i] ([i]vs Hooligans, vs Rare[/i])

Uneventful week for Dads with a decisive victory over Degeneration X. Most important week of the season for them coming up. We'll see if they can rebound from that loss against etc.

5) [b]Samurai Pizza Cats[/b] - 2-3 - [i]Loss vs etc[/i] ([i]vs Godsend, vs Legendary[/i])

Tough loss against etc really has to hurt since they did not play really all that well the entire match. Seth has definitely fallen from the ranks of the elite players. His inactivity is shining brightly as he's being outplayed by his teammates like Chuckie and atila who do not usually get the street cred associated with good players. Imagine continues to try and help carry SPC to victory but there's just no support in the offensive end at all and the defensive support that was so strong against Dads has disappeared. SPC is in desperate need of a victory luckily for them they get the only squad that may be hurting more than them next week. SPC still has top level talent but only half its base seems to give a shit. Unless major changes come this week expect the GS game to be close and Legendary to blow them away.

6) [b]Rare[/b] - 2-2 - [i]Did Not Play[/i] ([i]vs etc, vs Dads[/i])

The only shift in the rankings this week sees Rare move above Godsend. Dain is still on hiatus and no one seems to know where. However, Rockmono has picked up his activity in scrims significantly has looked to have shaken off the rust. This is a huge improvement for Rare even if Dain doesn't return next week as Dain was not performing on all that high of a level even when he was around. Rock being solid again finally gives Rare a second option to Un0me who is timeless. How a guy can never practice and still be the best player in the league is beyond but he still is and has made me eat my words for criticizing him for winning WingMan Cup last season. Look for Rare to move up in the rankings over the next two weeks especially if Dain returns with a clear head and mind focused on the game. It's a huge week for them this week and to be honest, I'm liking Rare in both their matchups even if Zookini plays who has magically developed a decent shot out of no where.

7) [b]Godsend[/b] - 2-3 - [i]Lose vs Legendary[/i] ([i]vs Samurai Pizza Cats, vs Ubernauts[/i])

Stick a fork in Godsend, they're done. Bishman continues to die with the ball around the goal. Wortez somehow always manages to fuckup in the goal regardless of whether its a long shot or a walk in. ForMac continues to predict against Godsend to keep his first place position knowing full well he's going to play and just drive around in circles chasing and vulching. Etidorpha and Darzee don't care enough to showup or tell anyone why they're not going to show up. Dexter is having lag issues out of no where. Darter and Myself have real life obligations ie work that keeps us from practicing throughout the week so Allust is basically sitting here looking at his squad with a handful of problems and no solutions.

8) [b]Ubernauts[/b] - 0-5 - [i]Lose vs Legendary[/i] ([i]vs Degeneration X, vs Godsend[/i])

Ubernauts won a game against a squad that I felt was significantly better than them even with their bench in. This was Ubernauts crowning achievement on the season and I was very happy to witness it. The ironic thing is that minor victory could set forth a path that leads them down the road to greatness. They will beat DGX this week handily and if they catch a collapsed Godsend roster they could pull an upset for the ages. Ubernauts is coming along mightly this season, they are on par with Final Project from last season who ended up winning the BotR. Truth be told, if they continue to play and grow like they have there is no reason they can't win the BotR this season especially if GS and SPC throw in the towels on a failed season early like they have traditionally done in the past.

9) [b]Degeneration X[/b] - 0-5 - [i]Lose vs Dads[/i] ([i]vs Ubernauts[/i])

Once again Super Soccer fails to show to his matchup and once again I will call him a little pussy bitch faggot that should be booted off his squad. Hopefully he will once again make a forum thread about it and hopefully I will once again ignore it. Dirk Smallwood proved today that he is a bigger baby than Super Soccer, which shouldn't surprise alot of the GBers that play Soccer Brawl since Dirk has been banned from that league for multiple seasons now. As a matter of fact, DGX is pretty much full of Soccer Brawl rejects and that's all that shows for them these days since zyn is out exploring the world. Sony is now banned from vent for being annoying and that's really all I want to write about these guys which strangely enough is more than I've written about for any other squad this week.
